How to Apply:
With the Feed In Tariff you’ll get paid a set amount for each unit (kilowatt hour or kWh) of electricity you generate. The rates vary depending on:
-
The size of your system
-
What technology you install
-
When your technology was installed
You can receive payments from your current energy supplier, or you can choose a different one from the list of registered suppliers.
Once you have had your Solar PV system you will then need to apply for the Feed in Tariff to the energy supplier of your choice. Details of what to do for each supplier will be stated on the form.
Here is an example of the documents and bits needed to apply for the Feed in Tariff with EON;
-
Valid start Reading: Please include a meter reading from the day the scanned application form is emailed if not we will contact you to provide your opening meter reading. This could delay your application.
-
Evidence of rights to Generate: Only applicable if you do not own the site at which your Generating Unit is installed.
-
System Accreditation: MCS Certificate
-
EPC Certificate (if relevant) or valid exemption letter (for Solar PV only). Appropriate Solar PV Declaration.
-
Proof of ownership (for example copy of paid invoice for generation equipment).
-
Proof of address: if non E.ON customer.
-
Proof of identification (for example, photocopy of passport/driving licence).
We will help you with any information or documents you need. Once your system is installed, you should have been provided with an MCS certificate for your system. We will also keep a copy of this for you. We will also provide you with a fully paid invoice once the system has been paid in full.
You can usually download the Feed In Tariff application forms from the websites of your chosen energy supplier, however please find forms from some of the companies to the right.
